The University of Phoenix was founded by Dr. John Sperling, a Cambridge economist and professor, in 1976. This was the time for the first-generation Apple computer. A student must also be a citizen or permanent resident of United States or may have a valid visa.
The University of Phoenix offers online, on-campus, and hybrid degree programs for Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral level. Each program has its own admission requirements. For an Associate or Bachelor degree program, one must be currently employed or may have access to an organizational environment that may allow to apply the concepts learned in the course. For Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing, one must have a valid license. For RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing, one must be currently employed. For Graduate admission requirement, one must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and had acquired a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 as shown on the posted transcript and had a minimum three years of significant full-time, post high school work experience. For Doctoral admission requirement, one must have a master’s degree from an accredited college or university and had acquired a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 and three years of professional work experience.
Tuition fee varies for program that one chooses. It is understandable that education expenses could not be met so easily and sometimes needs help from various financing options.
