National American University
Online learning courses are one of the fastest growing innovations with regards to the educational application of technology. This has been proven recently through a study developed by the U.S. Department of Education stating that “classes with online learning on average produce stronger student learning outcomes than do classes with solely face-to-face instruction.”
Before such became findings of studies and researches, National American University has always believed with the aforementioned as more than facts and their principles. The school was an early developer of fully online, web-based degree programs beginning in 1996.
National American University Online is an extension of National American University which was first established in 1941 as the National School of Business in Rapid City, SD. The school expanded to offer a growing workforce and returning veterans cutting edge business degrees shortly after World War II. Additional branches were established around the country in Denver and Colorado Springs, CO; Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, NM, Independence and Kansas City, MO; Bloomington, Brooklyn Center and Roseville, MN; and Overland Park, Kansas and Sioux Falls, SD. Until today, the university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in business, IT, and healthcare.
Being a professional institution of learning, the university responds to the changing needs of students, employers, and their communities by providing programs and continuing education opportunities to serve our evolving global society. One of the ways to fulfill its commitment on offering students technical and career-focused programs is through supporting an online community of learners. In 1996, online courses were designed to meet the needs of working students all over the world. National American University collaborates with businesses, employers, colleges, faculty members and students to make education accessible not only financially but also geographically.
