American InterContinental University (AIU)
American InterContinentral University is commonly called AIU. It is an international for-profit university. It was founded in Europe in 1970. It has offered an innovative approach to educate the students at its campuses in Atlanta Buckhead, established in 1976; London, established in 1978; Los Angeles, established in 1982; Atlanta Dunwoody and South Africa, established in 1998. The Career Education Corporation acquired the University in January, 2001 as AIU online began in this year and was recognized as a separate campus in 2002. An additional campus was added in Houston, Texas in 2003. The AIU Buckhead and AIU Dunwoody campuses were combined to become AIU Atlanta in June, 2009.
American InterContinental University is committed to provide a career preparation in business, criminal justice, design and media arts, and information technology. It is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association to award Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. AIU had created a Financial Aid Estimator to help the student to acquire financial aid. The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete a Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA). Once enrolled, a Financial Aid Advisor will determine the financial aid option where you are qualified.
